Default Jamsport tuning MFi? [Re: Performance Ford article]

Just got round to reading the head to head article in Performance Ford [the one with the 4x4 Fiesta Cossie on the front] with 2 x S2's, both tuned by Jamsport?

I want to know about the modifications they did to the MFi on the 1.6 cvh, to get so much power? They brush over it cos they couldn't get the bonnet open to take photos

Looked at their website and couldn't find anything about it?

P.S. Just wondering if its a good idea to advertise a reasonably expensive 1.9 conversion done by the same tuning firm [£1850+ VAT on the website], getting beaten by the same driver in one you say only cost £1k in total with all the bits left over lying around

It's a secret

It's, not just built up from old crap. As I'm sure you can imagine there a few nice bits in the JamSport store room.

the fuel ecu is modified to increase the input signal to the electronic fuel pressure regulator on boost pressure. Well, that one of the ways of doing it..

James, was it you that bought the car mate?

Is PF Nick telling the truth about it being a secret?

Just wondering what the costs are involved, the article said jamsport were the bollocks with cossie management conversions too?

P.S. Wind your necks in boys, I couldn't give a fuck how much it cost him to do, I was being flippant, hence the crying smileys.

P.P.S Thanks for demanding an english translation popeye

Yeah I got it, we didnt have massives of time to chat

but...

It ain't made of bits lying arround, as Nick said
I know what bits it's mainly got and to be honest, I bought it for the engine and the rest of the stuff was only a bonus

It would cost me waaaaaaaaaaay more to same spec engine, to which as people can understand, I can't afford working at a supermarket

buy something that has what you want and then work arround it, sadly to say the car will be totally stripped in the next few weeks (one Saturday at local garage)

There is a main reason for this, but it's not out of me choosing to do so

Can I just add, that @ 18psi I have NEVER felt acceleration and power like it before in my entire life

There are plenty of alterations planned for the engine so let's see what happens when I find the car I want to put all my performance parts from both my cars onto - that's where it will all come into play

Yep, is a secret.

Jamie is the bollocks with both systems but if you are planning on going for a conversion then I would hold fire for the moment.

There's a new management system just being released and JamSport are one of the only dealers for the system. I've just had one fitted to my RST and it is the absolute tits. It's also VERY well priced.
Check out the september issue of the mag for more details. I know it's a long wait but trust me it's worth the wait.
There's no point in me going in to loads of detail at the moment because you can't buy one yet. Mine was the first system in to the country and it's currently the only RST in the world running it

ooooooh. that sounds the good..... any chance you'll be bringing it to the next berkshire meet you can "break" the bonnet catch again to keep it secret but would definitely love a passenger ride #

James mate, I didn't just type a load of bollocks to wind people up I read the engine spec and besides the hush hush management, you got yourself a top spec car

If you're stripping it.... wanna sell me the con rods
