Lewis, he is aware the engine internals arn't spec'd for any more than ~270bhp?

If he want's to take full advantage of the T35, Tubular Exhaust manifold, Pectel T2 etc, he needs to consider the strength of the rods he is running, and then perhaps consider some more suitable items!

I ran more than 270hp!

& I was worried about it goin pop! well not worrieed as such but knew it was a possibilty! I told him if he wantsed more poweer the rods & pistons would need changin!

to b honest i dont know how much more the head will flow either!

Remeber that engine was built just to see what sort of power can b got from a zetec! I always had plans to build a monster 1 once that 1 let go!

Yep.

Head won't do much over that either.....its a great 270bhp engine....but not really a suitable base to expand on. Best bet is to start with a fresh block @ 84.8mm (rather than 86) and decent rods and pistons

Awesome engine for the money though Be great to see what the lad can get out of it

go put a hole in your manifold & see what power your car makes m8!

i had a few times where it crakced so bad it wouldnt actually boost!

so yes if the crack was bad enough it woudl cause a lose of 60hp very easily!

& thats my fault/problem because!?

I sold the car in full working order with a power graph for 290hp!

It made that power or there abouts on @ least 3 differnt rolling roads!? & god knowws how many times @ each rolling road!

As far as I was concerned the car was that power! it dusted most things on the road with out any trouble! put down good times for the weight of the car & condtion of tyres & my abilities!

I reccommend he buy a gearbox b4 goin for more power! as that would of improved the car dramatically!

I think its next on the list! assuming the bottom end holds itself together long enough!
