can u get nokia pc suite to connect to the phone ok?
if so just use transfer music to do it, or if u can drop the files in the relevant folder on the phone using nokia phone browser.

ftp the *.sis file over to handset from pc
install it on handset or mem card
play yer mp3
works on my 6600
you can also send/retrieve files via the ir port if you got a pc/laptop with a ir port

I use the IR ports, complicated procedure, but it works.
I download the tracks from kazaa to the main PC, do an MSN - MSN transfer to the laptop, then send it from the Laptop to the 6230 using the Nokia software.
What I want to know is, I have to save the music on my Memory card, because the files are a few MB each, but doing it this way, I can't make the phone play the whole lot in one go, I have to tell it to play each song individually. Is there anyway round this?

to play the list of music from the mmc card all I did was open the music player, go to options then track list
find the folder i.e mmc card and play a song
then it should go through the lot (well does on mine)

A card reader makes it easy as to transfer mp3s, no nokia software needed, got mine from ebay £6.49 delivered.
You just plug the card reader into a usb port, put the mmc into the reader, then on the pc drag the mp3 and drop it at what ever drive the card reader is mine was f:.
Have you got enough memory left on you card if you still got the nokia 32mb one?

Doesn't work on mine. If I go into Music Player, it comes up "No music files found" even though there is about 6 on the MMC card. I am using a 128mb card I got. So I moved a track into the Music folder on the phone, that is now in there, but if I go to Track List, it comes up with the same message...
Fucking Phone!!!
Does anyone else have the problem where if you turn it off overnight, you have to program in the time and data again, even if the battery is full?!

Bit of a pain that u keep having to take the phone apart to get to the card though. Keep an eye out for the next firmware update on these phones. Hopefully they'll have fixed most of these bugs.
