HELP! Best engine convertion place?
Im in a debate between a ford focus 2.0 zetec 3dr
or
Keeping my escort cabbie, respraying the one side as ive had the other done, cuz it was in accident, while its in there, having a new badboy bonnet with verry nice suttle bonnet vent... and a convertion from
a current 1.4 cvh to a 2.0 zetec hopefully.
I need answers to the following :
Roughly how much?
How long?
Where?
Whats the possibilitys?
What else would i need apart from, engine, gearbox all the stuff, drive shafts changed and new brakes?
Thanking you all in advance.

just finding my feet
mmmmmmmmm the cabbie owes me nothing
didnt i say that in a converstion with jimbo when i was talking about turboing it
and now it owes me ???????????????
lets say my debate was a cossie and i couldnt find a decent one for 4 grand that was in the same or better conditon than me cabrio and so i said i would put 4 grand in the cabby
guess what
4 grand aint what ive spent and it still aint done
my advice, keep the cabrio and keep the conversion simple, dont be tempted buy cheap bargain high spec parts unless there complete
i fooking hate my bottom end i bought, was a fooking good deal, the bits to go with it hasnt been though, most i had to buy new too
good luck though

engine rebuilt can cost between 2-5k depending on ur spec,
Engine should go in wiv no mods. etc
I would just get an rs2000 2.0 16v lumb with throtle bodies and nos running over 200 bhp

thanks all.. thats what i wanted to hear!!
I think a 2.0 zetec is a good choice?
any recomendations to where? Tele numbers would be cool!!
2.0 with a few mods should be enough power for now
