Default help with non starting cossie please

DanP off here has bought GurnE's shell weve reshelled his saff into it, weve got fuel and spark but it wont fire, took the plugs out and the cylinders are swimming so atm left plugs out for it to evaporate

anyone got any ideas on what this could be

if theres fuel and spark then it must start

check the map sensor connection as if thats off it wont start

is it actually catching or just not at all

Check its actually timed up correctly - crank/cam belt/dizzi/plug leads !!!

check the ets wires are actually making a connection to the sensor,and also that the regulator is ok!

fooking leads around the wrong way dont i fill a cooooontt ah well took car apart 2 months ago so thats my excuse and im sticking to it

The silly fookers spent 6 hours trying to start it today.

Finally I popped out for a quick look, 5 mins later and plug leads 1 & 4 swapped all was well

dont talk to cowboi about plug leads in the wrong location

he changed a engine in a nova, got it in on first attempt in a few hours and spent 2 evenings faulying finding the loom ect, turned out the dizzy was on the wrong way round

butb thats nothing to my first time fitting a clutch and getting it all back together to find i stuck the plate in wrong way round

fuel pump still isnt priming i got it going wiring it directly to battery, i didnt put the leads on so not my fault lol
