Hi ppl,
I have a Sick Punto GT,I was chasing a Honda Integra a while ago, while it was on full boost it started missing badly as in the plugs had fouled and the temp gauge went through the roof!
it also now bellows white smoke while on tickover (Turbo buggered) regards to the temp etc and the plugs would the turbo have taken the headgasket with it as well or has it holed a piston?
Thanks

check the cylinder with a long screwdriver for a hole on the piston which the oily plug came out of, or if you can do a compression test easily do that!
does it still tick over perfect or a bit lumpy like it's still missing?

(This is for my mate I used his login before at his house)It did run low on water so I'm guessing the headgasket popped, but what about the oilled plug? it was only the one plug that was oilled up

Any chance both i.e Headgasket and Turbo could have been taken out at the same time? it bellow's white smoke on tickover and I can't see it boosting on the Boost Gauge? I know it did lose water so I presume the headgasket is deffo gone

Sounds like the turbo died as well? or maybe the headgasket instead? when a headgasket goes does it smoke like a knackered turbo?

Might just be the turbo. I did this on my S1. Ran like a sack of shat and kept oiling plugs up and it white smoked like a bitch as the oil was pouring into the turbine housing and not being burnt by the engine. I take it the turbo is water cooled?
I would remove it and have it stripped and inspected first.

IHI Turbo........Hmmmmmmm
Well you see the problem is they are not the greatest Turbo's to start with, the Thrust plate is not a great design. If i were to build a Hybrid i wouldnt be able to offer a warrenty as the shit themselves way toooo often.
Hybird is an option but not an option i would consider as the Turbos are not the best to modd.
Regards
Jano
I hope you understand.
The cost of a Std Turbo exchange is around Ł350-400 contact me via phone if you like or email.

Dude your problem is that this Turbo has only one type of thrust that can be used.
The best option for you is the T25 with larger comp wheel and housing, 360 bearing, adjusting shaft seal, new gaskets bolts seals etc...
The Turbo unit will be Garret and is by far a better choice. The only part you will need to change is the downpipe on your exhaust system.....
The price is around Ł500
