Default Restrictions between turbo and head....FAO Stu/Karl etc

....was thinkin about my throttle body....the tubo outlet is smaler than the 2wd TB so is the thoery that aslong as the tb is bigger than the turbo outlet ...no restriction? Bare in mind i am running the swedish plenum so no elbow restriction Plus the cooler has the proper RS500 outlets..so do i NEED to run my EEC4 tb?

do you think you would gain anything from making the tb bigger? if so why?
look at your inlet runners area,,,how many of them are breathing air at anyone time

Gareth it does increase low speed drivability hence why the eec4 has the larger tb also the RS500....i am just asking about restricting for 600plus...i cant see how it does aslong as the turbo outlet isnt bigger...

had heard that a 2wd tb will flow enough air for 650 bhp, it was the elbow that caused the probs, will be using a 2wd on mine to get 600

nor have i mate using mike r's plenum with a 2wd tb will be fine for 600 plus, might be wrong but a 2wd tb will give slightly better torque and response to a 3inch one

if you think about a large throttle body,, a small movement in the throttle plate will equal a larger area being uncovered
