Default EGT Gauge

Ive just fitted a new mongoose exhaust which has a fitting welded in on the downpipe for a lambda sensor so though it would be rood not to have one!!

Whats needed to get me an EGT gauge fitted to my car??

Any ideas appritiated people

I thought the best position for the thermocouple was in the exhaust manifold before the turbo ?

I don't think an EGT sensor will fit in a lambda boss so you will need an adaptor.

I think you want a AFR guage??

whats a lambda sensor got to do with an EGT guage?

dunno which boss you have, but a guage + wiring is generally what you will need

AFR being air/fuel ratio, id like an EGT gauge aswell thow.

Wasnt sure on what was needed or where its mounted,just assumed with having the fitting on the exhaust it would be ok?

Nothing mate just thought you could fit it where the fitting was in the exhaust which must be for a lambda sensor as its that size?

yeah air/fuel ratio uses lambda, which is what is on your exhaust by sounds of it.
will need either a wide or narrow band gauge + the sensor. narrowband = £100ish and is for looks only, wide costs i believe £300++ and is good for tuning!!!

egt will need a new sensor welded + guage!

oh okay sorry posting at same times!!!!

if you dont want the afr gauge then im sure you can get an adapter you use an EGT probe instead

Yeah thats what i thought save messing around and by the sounds of it the best AFR ones will cost over 300 quid anyway.

Where can these bits be brought from, dya know?
