Default Why? :wall:

just chatting to a bird on MSN.....

her bloke is nearing completion of his 106 Rallye....

looks mint, stripped out, tuned engine, including throttleboddies etc.....

and a fake MOT where's the fooking sense in that?

spend a shitload of time/effort/money on a project, and void the insurance etc by having no MOT eh?

i'm baffled as to why the fook you wouldn't spend that extra few hundred quid [worst case, i dunno what it needs, but being pretty much rebuilt from the shell up, shouldn't need much doing, unless he's a complete jackass]?

well if its just a dodge mot then its prob. due to no cat or whatever so it isnt actually invalidating his insurance at all as i assume its genuine but just done by a mate

if it's a fake mot - [yer maybe by a mate....] it will invalidate his insurance.......if they find out.....

and you know what insurance companies are like for paying out

insurance documents will state car must be road legal if in use on the road, and a fake mot aint legal, lol

oh and it's more than just a cat....

"you try getting summot like that thru an MOT" <----her words must be a right shonkster lol

So he'll be driving around in a car thats not legally roadworthy and could even be dangerous?

Lets just hope he only hurts himself if anything go's wrong.

Hmmmm it maybe the fact he has things like a Hydraulic handbrake... there are several things that it may have that would make it NOT pass an MOT even though it could be more than safe on the road...

If it's a car built primarily for the track then i can to a degree understand why he's done it... if his mate has signed it and it's a PROPER ticket from a test station then it wont be illegal, cuz the car in theory can drive out of the test station and have sommat fall off and as long as it passed the test prior to that then it is still classed as being totally legal!!!

Look at cossy owners who weaken off the mixture to pass the emission and then as soon as they get home whack it back up... I myself actually had the MOT tester help me change the decat to a cat to pass the MOT then help me change it back when it had passed, he explained that by saying while he was testing the car he worked for the ministry, but while he was changing the Cat he worked for the company...

Not everything is black and white!!

As above:
No cat
Running rich
Hydralic handbrake
Harnesses - See if you can get FIA approved, road legal ones!

All stupid things that force people to get 'dodgy' MOTs

yeah but, at least he had tested the car and certified it as mechanically sound.... what's saying this dick aint even taken the car to the tester, and he's got it off some dodgy geezer in a smokey tap room?

what's to say the first time he plants his right foot, the engine aint gonna rip the shit out of the mounts and send the gearbox though the car? [it's french afterall ] could even be summot daft as a fooked hub......and the fooker falls off at 110mph on the motorway.....as hundreds of other cars are dodging a wheel and an out of control shitbox?

there's a big difference in playing with emmissions and cheating death, lol

indeed......

i would be totally ok with it, if he chucked on a legal exhaust, seatbelts etc, put it thru a legit test, they went back to custom exhaust and harnesses.....least that way, he's only risking himself, and not anyone else......
