help!!! ignition probs...
i know it aint exciting cos its only a 1300 chapper n not a cvh turbo, worth or the like but its my runabout so please help!!!
problem is shes only runnin on 2 cylinders. ive changed plugs n leads and no change.
now this engine is the 1.3 ohv hcs engine, which runs with DIS (Distributerless Ignition System) so basically rather than a coil setup uve just got a ignition module bolted on side of block (my xr2i has the same setup on the efi, bolted on side of head if that helps??)
tryed usin another module off a 1400 cvh with DIS but no change , still only firing 2 plugs!!!! nos 1 and 3 to be exact ( firing order 1,2,4,3)
so................. suggestions please!!!!!!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
change whatever feeds the module then - is there something between that and the ecu?
I *think* you have 2&4 firing at the same time on one half of the module, and 1&3 firing together on the other half - so it sounds like half of the circuit feeding that is not there.

If the loom looks generally OK, then I would be checking any modules along the way first mate - especially if you have another car you can just swap them from
