Default any1 familiar with microsoft access?

was wondering if you can put headers and footers on it or only the standardised ones? i appear to have become a computer retard over last few days!

on a report i'm assuming? yes you can put headers and footers on there

You just click in the footer and add the fields you want, its like doing it in word really.

chip, call me thick, but the only way you see the footer is in print preview and then you can't click on it because it just zooms in! i thought it would be like word where you just go 'edit'

Go into design view, then just click in the header and footer to edit it.

they magically appear

thats office2003, but iirc its the same with 2000/2002

oh good, it's not me being thick because it doesn't come up when i right click, damn my version. thanks anyway jim, didn't mean to snap earlier, just this work is driving me mad!

Hi,

If the version of access is 2000. You would go to the report you want and then go into design view. Once there you would go to view, then almost at the bottom of the menu will be view page header/footer and view report header/footer. Then when you select either you will get extra areas available in the design view of the report.
