As title Myself and a mate were discussing this and i said that the xr would be better all round am i correct?
Standard Focus 5door
Xr2i : full s/s exhaust, lowered 50mm on 13's, K+N,
What would be better overall and also,
Acceleration?
Handling?
Top Speed?
Please Discuss!
Many Thanks

The Focus has a very good chassis and would surprise you I think. Straight line acceleration the little Fez would come home first. Everything else I would put my cash on the Focus.
I loved our old CVH 2i (RIP
) it went nicely with a 135bhp engine build but used to struggle against our mates VTS Saxo.

A ported and polished cylinder head with a few tweeks (standard valve sizes). Piper cam kit with vernier pulley, Superchip. uprated fuel pump (long story
), Ashley exhaust manifold mated to a custom built stainless steel exhaus and the obligatory K&N cone filter. There was a 1900cc or a ZVH engine build on the cards but unfortunately a twat in a BMW drove into the back of it and destroyed it last June.
Car has been put back on the road since and is in Stevenage but it is a shadow of its formerself. Truely gutting when I see it crab up the road

news cars come out of the factroy tweaked a fair bit more now than they used to.
You've got weight on your side, but not technology.
Best thing to do is go for a nice drive about about 3 in the morning and see what happens.
I aint recomending you break speed limits or anything as thet would be wrong, but when its dark you sometimes miss the signs dont ya
