Default Peugeot 306 GTI-6.... what they like ?

Work is going to be reviewing my fuel allowance next month and if they stop it, its gonna cost to much in fuel travelling to and from work. So thinking of trading/selling me BMW for a 306 GTI-6......

Anyone had one ?
What are they like ?
Bad point/major problems ?
Servicing/parts expensive ?

Anyone had one ? Yeah Ive got one
What are they like ? Love it! Get approx 350 miles to a tank of juice (whether i drive it like my nan or nutter!)
Bad point/major problems ? Cam belts - Get it done as soon as you buy one as they are prone to going
Servicing/parts expensive ? Not really, Theres a parts place called GSF which the 306 GTI6 owners club has a 10% discount to, not much i know but all helps and GSF is very very cheap

I love mine, shes great!!

glenis, its 200+

the time it was taking me to pull out (well, in coz i was undertaking ) get on the throttle and reel in, was not enough to get in the gaps in traffic.

when i saw it i thought it was a 306TD... i was soon proved wrong... lol

Our old one was the bollox!

Never got that kind of mileage out of it though, as the induction kit, and exhaust made such a lovely note, it was impossible to keep off full throttle!

Richard PON is absolutely correct....

Jim is your car a manual 2.9 24v ?

had the auto version and that was good enough, but a manual must be FUN
