Default problem with Esc coss wheels

Just tried to put these wheels on my esc GTI over the weekend and they are fine at the front but are rubbing at the back,my car is lowered by 40ml,have been told to get dampeners to stiffen the suspension or get the arches rolled out, just wonderin what you guys think as the car is more a family car and dosnt rub that bad when on my own but if got the family and shopping in is really bad cheers.

You've also got the option of putting 215/40's tyres on it as well ....

The wheels are 8 inch wide, no suprise that they rub.

Tyres would be a cheaper option to coilovers too.

Any pics as im interested on how far they must stick out?
