let's see if it's better with what i just did. If it goes tits up again, i'll may have to close it for several minutes, the time i find the glitch. It seems that one of the users on here is creating a kind of "loop" when he logs in, and this makes the board crash. Don't know who it is yet, and i'm sure it's not meant to, but no worries, i'll find

Yeah its defo quicker, when its not doinf this............
message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?
