CVH was never the most refined engine when new!

As long as you have good oil pressure I shouldn't be too worried, but thats easy for me to say.

Agree with james, phone cameras always make engines sound tappety.

Looks really good. So clean.

I wouldn’t worry about Facebook critics. Assume all is fine and get the mechanic to check it all once run in.

now is time to enjoy it.

They can sound weird on camera phones. When I was putting mine back together the other year it sounded weird, my idle valve buzzes a little bit but the phone really seems to pick up on that.

Why do ford owners always have there heater on full😂.
Phone sound always sound terrible I can’t say for the lifters or cam as it does sound a bit loud as phones always are but sounded clean on the rev for bearing noise.
Great looking car.

Mark

These newman cam/lifters Mat? If so, do a check on the clearance in a few k. I've always found a fresh set tend to open up (or close) pretty quickly so need a check up after a bit of run in. After that I just treat it as part of a yearly check now (always need a tweak but always minor).
Can only echo what everyone else has said tho - phones make CVH's sound even worse, pretty sure i could film myself twatting a spanner against a metal panel and it'd be quieter

Mat it does sound a little strange apart from the lifters it almost sounds down a cylinder even when you rev it, hope its just the camera.
