strange sound coming from the engine, 2.0 TDCi (140Hp), Diesel, engine UFWA
Hi all, I need a little help/advice.
My car is a FORD GALAXY (WA6), 2.0 TDCi (140Hp), Diesel, engine UFWA, year 2010.
There is a little strange sound coming from the engine, when the engine is hot, the sound is never there then the engine is cold. I can only hear it when the engine is running around 900-1000RPM, if the engine runs faster than approx. 1000RPM I can't hear the sound anymore. I can only hear it when I’m inside the car, with doors closed. I cannot hear it when I’m standing in front of the car with my head just above the engine. The sound is a “klonk --- klonk – klonk” with an interval of approx.. 1 sec between each klonk at 1000RPM.
Does anyone know where this sound could come from, or have any advice/idea of what could be wrong ? (the car runs perfectly….)
Thanks!
Thomas
