Default Price of Petrol & Diesel......

In your area..........

My local Esso the price has gradually crepted up over the past week to 89.9 for a litre of diesel

Was only 83.9 about 10 days ago, coming home on the M1 last week i actually paid 91.9 for Diesel

Didn't have much choice as the light was on, but i mean the prices now have gone crazy

I think unleaded is 85.9 now locally to me, whats the prices like around your way as i know they can differ thru-out the country.

Been to get some Optimax for the cossie this morning at it is 90.9

Went to BP the other end of town after a visit to my tuner in my diesel few days ago...... Opened the petrol cap put the nozzle in.....noticed it was 99.9p a litre

Put the nozzle back on the clamp went over the road to tesco and it was 91.1

Bp - What a rip off

Most recent info I could find was from April 2004, but apart from the prices still rising, I'm pretty sure the percentages involved haven't changed much:

Type LRP Unleaded Diesel
Pence/ltr 83.6p 78.8p 79.4p
Pence/ltr Tax 63.0p 61.1p 60.8p
% tax-cost 75.3 77.5 76.6

So, who else can name a "product" that's taxed at over 75% then?

Also, is this a government we want to vote back into power?

The Government has now revealed its master plan – Kim Howells (Minister for Transport) has gone on record as saying he wants to increase the cost of driving a car up to the point where only a few people will be able to afford it.

Diesel costs the same as Optimax near me,and thats supermarket diesel. Complete fookin rip-off this country,as for this comment:
Also, is this a government we want to vote back into power?
Do you really think another party would make any difference to the biggest government "cash-cow" in the country?
They are all a waste of time IMO. Wankers.

There is an article in our local paper about a garage, his diesel is 99.9 pence a litre

Got a big pic of him grinning, nearly pissing himself thanking his loyal customers
