Pictures/Experiences with Dunnell Water Rail installed?
Hello again!
I'm looking at the Dunnell RMP2052 water rail for my Blacktop-in-a-Volvo project.
Does anyone have experience with installation, operation, maintenance? Also, does anyone have a picture of it? I'm trying to figure out how all this is going to fit together in the engine compartment of a left-driver, rear-wheel, 50's engine bay experience, so seeing some in the wild would be very helpful.
Thank you!
Ben

I had the one race line sell for the zetec and it was one of those beatifically made parts that just work, it ran super close to the head and was really neat

Thanks, Caddyshack!
I'm looking specifically at the Dunnell for bulkhead clearance and a few other reasons. I'd like to see how how everything lines up. Unlike the Raceline, it passes under the exhaust and I'd like to see where it rests compared to things like the dipstick and engine brackets (as I'd like to relocate my alternator to that side as well).
Going over top of the exhaust brings it very close to the bonnet where I've got some other projects going on; plus if it goes under it lines up almost direct with my radiator inlet. Going over (as it presently is) requires a 4-bend dogleg hose which isn't a problem, but it's not very tidy. The Dunnell *looks* like it will just require a slight curve--which is why I'm trying to find a picture of it in an engine room.

Oh, I see. I guess someone like MK Motorsport could mod it for you if it does foul.

I did find a few, maybe Google UK is better. Most of the images I got were of Dunnell throttle bodies and engine management, but showing the Raceline and Retro Ford water rails.
I think I have all the pictures I need, finally. I'm just trying to get it right before I order and ship everything across the pond.
About 15 years ago I decided to build a Datsun 280 with an Australian Ford XF 250 inline six. It took years before I got it right, kept waiting on this gasket or that bolt or the widget off a junkyard whatever-I-forgot-this-time. Built pieces on the ship's milling machine, turned parts on the lathe, sat with a file and a long afternoon to make this-or-that fit.
This time, I'm letting the internet do as much of the R&D as I can, so I can concentrate on the fun parts of the swap--especially when I'm on a ship, the car is 4000km away, and the parts I'm buying are further than that. Much easier to read a web page and ask for a picture, than to use the $3/minute satellite telephone of 2001 to call the neighbor and ask them to run across to the garage and measure the distance between the extractors and the alternator bracket...
Cheers,
Ben

The USA blacktop setup puts the alternator under the inlet manifold, exactly where the IKE rail goes...and I'd still have to remove it to change the thermostat (though there's more room and shorter bolts).
The Dunnell looks like it's going to be just right.
