Well being a cat b unless the owner had a special licences such as waste carriers and vehicle dismantlers licence etc the car would have to be destroyed within 7 days he wouldn't have been able to buy it back , but now some co part sites are introducing a thing called pull it , where as people such as this poor sod can buy cat b cars without the licences and they are broken up and dismantled on site the owner takes the parts away and we crush the shell and send off the certificate of destruction , so there is hope

Thanks for the information.
So has the car been sold on to someone who has the licences who I presume can take the complete wreck away for dismantling or will it be dismantled on site?

Yes that's correct its to prevent someone buying it and sticking it back on the road being unsafe

I bought my sons cat b car back off insurance last year !!!
I don't have a breakers licence or deal in cars

They didn't want me to have it , but I insisted !
I paid for the to deliver it to me

I bought it back and Copart delivered it back
