Default Disc Rubbing On Back Plate?

I lowered my Focus last weekend on warranty friendly Eibach Pro-Kit springs out of the Ford accessories cataloge.
I jumped on the brake disc to pull the strut out the hub and bent the back plate while I was at it.
I've bent it all back so nothing is touching the disc however during hard right cornering the disc is rubbing on the back plate.
I don't mind bending the plate back some more but I don't understand why it's rubbing only during hard cornering and only when I'm turning right.
Does the disc flex that much?

Anyone else come across this before?

I've checked for rubbing and there's no signs of the tyres rubbing on anything.

25mm apparently. It's dropped more like 40mm.

I had to get the serial numbers on the springs to send to Eibach to make sure they were the right springs. They are.

I think it sits perfect but I really wouldn't want it any lower.

Even at this height it's going to be totally impractical for my 20k+/year driving but it looks awesome.

Jack up a corner at a time and spin the wheel and have a listen. Double check everything has clearance. It does look low, make sure the tyres aren't rubbing the bodywork.

Just been out and checked the car lock to lock. Plenty of room and no signs on the tyres that they've been rubbing anywhere.
However the N/S disc backing plate in one spot is almost touching the disc. I could barley get a finger nail between the disc and backing plate so I'm almost certain that's the noise when I'm cornering hard. Why would it only rub during hard cornering though? How weird.
Can't push it back enough by hand. It's going in for alignment at some point this week so I'll get a wheel off and bash it back while it's on a ramp. Serves me right for jumping on the brake disc really.

just push it back through the wheel with a big pry bar to give it clearance. you get a bit of flex when cornering

Did you undo the hub but to take off the shocker ( not sure if the focus strut is sleeved into the hub or not) I had to remove the full hub on my wife's fiesta a few years ago as I couldn't for the life of me get the shocker out the hub. On reassembly I forgot to torque up the hub nut and allowed the wheel and hub to move when cornering and ended up fucking the abs pick up ring on the wheel bearing. Doh.
Just a thought.

Hub didn't need to be removed. Just undo the bolt holding the strut into the hub and stand on the hub to pull out the shock.
Shock was greased up and reinstalled and the hub bolt given a little loctite and torqued to spec.

Just thought I would check mate as on the fez it was stuck fast.
Does seem odd it's just started after lowering. As others have said I would just bend it back a bit and see how it is.
