People are sometimes genuinely shocked when a 25 year old or more for Sierra pulls away so quick, I can't imagine what the first ever stage 3 convertion felt like back in the day must have been awesome. I still remember the first time I ever got a ride in a Cossie, I'll never forget it
Was my mates stage 3 saph and he gave it full beans down some side roads and felt as though it was a rocket ship to me lol, I was just his 18 year old apprentice and the fastest thing I had driven was my 1.3 xr3 lookalike lol

I hope to use mine a lot when it's back lol it's just going to take a little time to get it back. But to me worth the wait as it's not going anywhere I've no need to sell it or the desire

Nice looking car, fairly unusual colour as well. Are they 18 inch wheels? I have had mine for 21 years now, second owner from new, one of the last 2wd ones that were made. Still has all original panels and paint apart from front and rear bumpers which were re-painted last year.Done lots of modifications to it over the years and it still puts a smile on my face when that 450bhp comes on song!
When people see it they always say they cant believe its a 25 year old car.

I've had my late Nouveau Red car for a couple of months and love it to bits.
It's anything but comfy on 18s, poly bushes and a paddle clutch but the feeling you get from driving it, and the attention/appreciation makes it all worth it.
I looked at a lot of junk before I found this one and it's only going to get harder to find nice ones.
In saying that, I know of a stunning and original flint grey 2wd that I have pestered the old boy to sell for ages now and he is understandably reluctant! When I do get that phone call though my Nouveau car will be straight up for sale!

This thread makes me want to cry I sold my saff last year and I didn't miss it all till this summer came I've tried contacting the lad I sold if too as it hasn't been mot'd or taxed since
I keep thinking about selling the mk1 frs and getting another one. I always fancied a magenta or crystal blue one

Wow what's happened?
I imagine the parts for them in years to come will be astronomical. If my engine ever went bang that would be the end of the car for many years for me as couldn't afford to replace or rebuild it. If it was minimal damage id rebuild it myself but any major damage and it would take me years to save up for a replacement engine

I have had mine 8 years now. Spend 5 figures on her. The wife is begging me to sell it or its our marriage over for the last 5 years . She isn't liking the amount of spares in the garage either . The body work is getting really bad but at least she is one that is still on the road used as a daily driver. Done 7000 miles since Nov in her and she hasn't missed a beat really apart from a PAS pump and a inner cv joint spring.
The thing I hate on eBay for example is people typing 'Cosworth' when it has nothing to do with a Cosworth at all let alone a Sierra or Escort Cossie but a fiesta 1.1. Parts have shot up in the last two years I think too. Sold a solid T5 box for £500 and they are demanding double that now easily.
Love my Taxi to bits.

It doesnt matter what condition its in. The important part is that its still on the road and getting used.

Hind sight is wonderful, but if I can't afford to run and drive a car then if seriously have to consider if it was worth spending money insuring and teaching it, as well as the valuable real estate it's costing to leave in the garage, I've got a pool table to use as well
