As i'm in the process of building a zetec turbo my neighbour was asking me today if it will change how the car sounds. He loves the burble of the RST and said he hopes I can retain the sound? I assume the burble comes from the RST's unequal manifold?

I'm just curious to see if anyone has any videos or anything?

Sounds different, that said depends on exhaust system though.
i had a 3" system from turbo all the way back and if was bloody loud, sounded like it went!

 

Mine on 2.5 inch system with 2 boxes...



Sound totally different on idle... A lot smoother...

 

Not really much listen to, and shit video but it chattered well lol. Made 61bhp at one point too..

(It was the first time the engine had been ran for over a minute...)

 

I think the exhaust note sounds the same if you are still using a RST manifold and T3, the engine of course sounds about 100% quieter than a CVH.

 

Sounds like thats a win win then.

 

How come you're running a two box system?

 

I'm 32... It's noisy enough...

I'd like to change for a 3 inch system at some stage...
The system on it now was new and come up at right money while building it...
Bolted straight upto my modded Focus RS Miltek decat pipe...
