The missus bought a 12 plate Ford KA over the week end and it only has the tyre repair kit in the boot. She wants a space saver tyre but I am unsure what size I should get ? It is fitted with 16 inch alloys and 195 x 45 x 16 tyres. Am I correct in thinking I need a 15 inch space saver wheel with a large profile tyre? I can see plenty of 15 inch for sale with either 125 x 80 x 15 or 125 x 90 x15 tyres on them for sale on e bay but not much else.

 

80 profile is pretty standard as after all its a get a jail wheel to get you home not for constant drive so dont fret too much

 

Check the boot floor to see if a space saver will fit first. Not all manufactures will have a spare wheel well if there's a repair kit fitted.

 

Cheers for replays chaps. Jim I will measure the space to make sure but they do a space saver as an optional extra so one should fit. Ford tried to sell her one when she picked it up but think they wanted £170 for wheel and jack. Now I have had a bit of a think about it the 14 inch space saver and tyre prob will do and not be far off size wise.
