Default Any Nissan mechanics on here.

Hi folks.
Ive got a knocking noise, coming from their o/s front of my wifes Qashqai when going over bumps, ie speed humps, pot holes. So far ive replaced the drop link and today the lower arm, ball joint, and its made no difference.
The car is a 2008 with 52000 on the clock. The shock looks in good order, and ive now hit a brick wall with what it could be.
Can anyone give me any advice on what to check next, the earache from the wife is too much.

Steering rack loose / insulated mounts gone.

Have you checked the other side?

I replaced the drop link on them n/s and checked everything over, all seemed well. The knock feels almost under their floor on the o/s. I was sure it was the lower ball joint from the noise, and there was very slight play, but was obviously wrong

Okay so still have the knocking noise on the o/s.
So far ive replaced Drop links, Suspension top mount, the shock is in good condition, lower arm with new ball joint and bushes and last but not least, sub frame bushes and its still knocking. Does anybody else have any idea what i could be?
Its a dull thud that happens driving straight or even with the wheels turned left or right. Ive tried removing the drop links and it still knocks. its now driving me insane as the wife is busting my balls over it

Hi mate I was a nissan tech up until 6 month ago,tbh I have changed all the above on them for different reasons knocks/creaks etc, also anti roll bar bushes go but usually creak not knock and when ya hit both wheels together on speed bump not individually, the petrol rear gearbox mounts are also common but obviously not over bumps,on the rear the shocker bushes go and tailgate catches creak/knock,you say the osf shocker seems ok but I have actually changed these on qashqais and other nissans,x-trails notes micras for knocking like you describe and the shockers seemed fine with no obvious faults but when changed noise cured, hope this helps

Lol yeah it's frustrating sometimes but like I say I've done a few so good chance it's that and you have at least changed most other common faults so no future problems with them
