I can kind of see it, when was the last time you did a 3 point turn in the road? I don't think I actually have!

True, usually a lot faster to grab the handbrake and spin it round

Pretty much every day, if not multiple times a day.

However, for the life of me I can't remember the last time I reversed round a corner, except in my driving lessons

Holy good fuck.

Is it any wonder I say the government operates a "road death policy" rather than a road safety policy.

It also states following roadsigns will be dropped, and replaced with following and using sat navs. Jesus fooking Christ, Sat navs can and will lead you down no entry roads, bus roads only etc.

Which it's why it's a good thing to teach new drivers how to use them. Anyone can go into Halfords, buy a sat-nav and follow it, and as you've pointed out, not everyone knows how to use it properly! So whilst I don't agree that following road signs should be dropped, I get the idea why people should be shown how to use a sat-nav properly, to avoid idiots driving down no entry roads, one way streets the wrong way, and into fields.

Although it makes me a little sad that people these days are so dumb they NEED to be taught how to use a sat-nav.....

Or keep it simple...if they are caught doing any of those things, remove their license and have them pay for a training course in common fucking sense before they are allowed back onto the roads.

IMO there is far too much pandering to complete fucktards on the road, who really have little place there.

A sat nav is not an essential part of driving by any means, so if people want educated how to use one, it should be an additional course, not part of a test that's supposed to be for basic driving ability !
