Are new 2.0 Zetec short motors still available? I remember a while back there was a seller on ebay with them but can not find anything these days.

duno about short motors - but you can stil get brand new in the crate complete engines.

I'm certain they will still have them. When I got mine he had over 1000 of them. He splits the engines and sells heads and short blocks separately.

Thinking it's going to be almost as cheap to buy a brand new engine and get forged bits than to get a 2nd hand engine.
Old engine is going to need head skim, block decked, bore and hone new oil pump, water pump ect ect ect I recon it will be £2-300 more to just get a fresh engine.
Want to start getting engine and box soon as my car has been in the body shop for just over a week and should be all painted soon I hope and want to have bits ready for when I get it back.

How's yours going after the rebuild Stu?

Mines alright, done 52 miles since rebuild but is out of tax now until next year.

Have you got shut of the rwd shell you had?

I still have it but unable to do anything with it as not had it checked out yet, soon as u get my S2 back I'll send the rwd shell off to get checked and see what's what.
