Default Airbag light, MOT fail?

I need to get the Pumarse MOT'd but just remembered the airbag light is on due to running harnesses, so no pre-tensioners!

Is the dash light a fail?

SRS light on indicating fault is a fail. If it doesn't illuminate at all its advisory.

Poop.

V reg mate.

So hypothetically speaking, if the bulb in the dash mysteriously stopped working /disappeared, that would just be an advisory?

Certainly here in Northern Ireland, 2001 onwards the lamp must work as expected.

Pre 2001 as not all cars had self diagnostics for SRS systems, you would get away with no lamp at all.

i dont think it is a fail in england, mine has gone through 3 mots at different garages with the airbag warning light on (it goes through a sequence of flashes and then stays on permenantly when you turn on).

just wire it to the fuel low lamp if worried. Then it will come on and off on start up.

Just dont go for mot with low fuel

These might work

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/251652951391

Says they're for a focus but they might work on a puma or they may have some for a puma.

I actually bought some resistors to use a while back, but the soldering iron packed up so never got around to it

airbag lamp fails if its on. if it doesn't illuminate at all its a pass and advise

but you might get pulled on the missing pretentioners,

this might help.
