Im more into Motocross, but I do like watching Supermoto, pretty cool.
Hey merc, Matt was a very good MX rider, I was a bit disapointed when he left for SM as I thought he had potential to be a British champ!

Yeah mate if you leave them ticking over for ages then they get hot very quickly , but once moving they cool down rapidly
Dont forget on a bike your always moving so the bikes always cool and theres not such thing as traffic , I never had a problem with the bike over heating whilst riding it only when I let the thing tickover did I see a lot of heat
Id have another one tomorrow but due to the small tank and no reserve they a little bit impractical
ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL TO RIDE THOUGH
Mine power wheelied in the first 3 gears 4 stroke single pot ........ lovely torquey bikes
Would fookin love the new Aprillia V-TWIN Supermoto

The Aprilia MX/SM bikes are ugly dude, they do have some nice touches though like the pipes exiting under the rear fender.
You're better off with a thumper for the roads mate, although the CR or a KX500 will be good fun.
turbo terry: If you're planning on a Yamaha get the newer 450's, I wouldn't buy an older 4 stroke MX bike being you ride flat out everywhere.
Heres my sig off a motocross forum I am a member of, its some of my riding pic and one of my bike.

Slipper clutch can be set-up to suit your riding style, slides won't happen but on the other hand it won't hop in corners either, bouncing off the line and shite...slipper clutch makes you go faster
I used to have a CR500 supermoto: only for experienced riders!!! It's like riding a chainsaw...fookin' hell! MAD MAD MAD powerdelivery!
My Husaberg has enough grunt to outrun a CR but it pulls from low down so it's easier to control. Still, it wheelies of the throttle in top gear...
