Default coilpack with built in drivers

fitting microsquirt to my puma and would like to run a coilpack with built in drivers rather than mess around with an external driver/drivers.

does anyone know of any cars that run a coilpack like this?

99/00 Subaru, some older VAG stuff or there are dozens of COP or CNP options.

cheers for the info guys. ive read conflicting info regards the microsquirt, some saying it cannot dirrectly power coils, so saying it can. ive been reading megamanual the last couple of nights and last night i found a microsquirt specific page which says it can. im unsure whether to just say bollocks and try it as im wary of frying the thing! anyone got any idea?

Coils with inbuilt ignitors tend to be more powerful anyway.

I can see little reason to want to use a normal inductive coil anyway ?

Ford dont often seem to have ignitors built into their ecu's ? Often they have an external amp anyway

as far as im aware there isnt an amp internally within the coil, and ive never seen an external amp. so had presumed it was within the ecu.

thats what i thought, but then i found this link on the megamanual site and had a read : http://www.microsquirt.info/uswiring.htm

1/2 way down that page, it explicitly states you can drive one coil per ignition output on microsquirt. meaning one side of a wasted spark coil as fitted to most varieties of zetec engine, including mine.

this is whats confused me, as i researched the microsquirt prior to buying it and thought you could not directly drive a coil...

ill message the company i bought the kit from and see what they say i suppose.
