can't help on the history but it looks mean, love the wheels!

Surely buying something like this with no idea of the background is a bit of a punt though?!

He got a bit over exited looking for a track car. They guy said it has a Harvey Gibbs engine and shell modified by A Gallagher so he is going to call them. Just for full spec for setting up really.
None of the lights work. Not needed if it was raced. But even brake lights for track use is a must.
The seller said he couldn't drive it. Fair enough it's not road legal. But my father in law went to drive it off the truck and it won't engage gear. (Dog box)

Did the focus cosworths he done first use Sierra floor/tunnel. This is just welded tunnel rather than some fab work ones I have seen.
Also what scuttle panel can be used on these. At the moment it doesn't have one so rain runs all over engine.?

Should be an animal once sorted. Bit rough around the edges but definatly built for purpose.

Don't think it's Andy's first focus, I'm sure Calum Baird still has it, and it was RWD?

I'll link Andy to this on Facebook.

Surely the history would have been confirmed before purchasing it and it being driven to confirm spec and working condition? Sounds like it wasn't even driven onto the tailer :-(

Gear box needs a manly push into gear.
You never get the full under the skin history from a seller. Always better if someone knows the car.

Does the box get the rest of the gears ok ? If its running a R&D 6 speed dog box then the reverse gear is a weak point in them.

Yes gets all ok. It's a 5 speed dog box.
No paper work or anything about what it is or what diffs etc? Rear looks bigger than normal.
Seller was very vague.
