i have tried to turn the car over on many occasions odv it wouldn't start on any of them so its not be run under pressure just turned over on starter motor
do you think i would get away with timing it and fitting another cam belt? or will it defiantly have caused an issue internally?

You might be lucky mate.
Looking at that picture I'd change the waterpump & Tentioner, stick a new belt on & cross you're fingers!
If not it's no drama as it's a cvh! Cheap & easy.
Good luck.

keeping the crossed as its never been under any load and its just rotted through while its been sitting for 4 years that i may get away with it ![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
its not the water pump that's leaking its the pip has a nick in it and wasn't properly tight, ill order a new belt and see how i get on i guess

if it is damaged will it just be bent valves?
will i need guides aswell?
or will that mean scrapping the head?
sorry for the questions never had to have a cvh apart before lol

It should be ok with poss just bent valves
I have seen a couple damage the guides tho but mainly from driving hard and snapping than just on cranking
You might be lucky if it hasn't started in a while the tappets could of drained out and not opened the valves up enough

Since I out this engine in in 2010 I've never had it running lol I put oil in it last week but I didn't crank it over but I have cranked it in the last when trying to get it running, I'll get a belt tomorrow it's going for new management in the20th so guess ill just leave it untill then how will I know if valves are bent without stripping it down rough running ? Noise?

Put the belt on and see if you can feel any compression when turning it over by hand
Take the plugs out one by and see if you can hear a whooshing sound
A few different ways really
