Default 1998 Ford hatchback

My brother has a ford, 1998 model, he is wanting to take off the head to fix something that the garage in south africa wants to charge a small fortune to do, due to age of car w'shop manuals are hard to come by. Any advice or site i can go to download anything to help him.

A ford what? I'd guess escort from what you say, have a look on ebay uk to get hold of a Haynes workshop manual, should cover what you need (hopefully).

gjh in SA its classed as a Ford Lazer, hatchback look. I am going to get him the manual & take it out when on hols. I am wanting info now if anyone has it, to enable him to start the work now.

I know the car you mean as its almost same spec as the US escort so no telling what engine is in it as they are different to UK escorts
