Hi guys how clean do you have to get nuts & bolts before you send them off to be zinc primed???? I've soaked them in thinners all day so all the wax oil has gone but they are a tad rusty & black looking.... Any help would be grate.

Cheers in advance.

You will need to remove as much of the rust from the bolts as you possible can with a wire brush before taking them to the zinc platers.

Most good zinc plating companies have acid dipping tanks to prepare items prior to plating.
