Default xr2i steering UJ advise please

Hi there wonder if anyone can give me some advise..im going to change my steering uj on the fez at weekend iv had a quick look and theres not much room at all...does anybody know the best way to go about doing this? Thanks

Years since I done one, but used to do loads of them.

2 x 13mm nuts & bolts , then knock the u/j up the column so it comes off the rack, then pull/knock it back off the column.

It should only go on in one place, if you're struggling to get it back on the splines of the steering rack it's in the wrong place, so kind of take note/mark with paint the relation of the gap in the u/j clamp to the column, you can drop the rack down to fit it, but you don't really need to.

Cheers..whats the best way to get to it cause theres not much room ie from the wheel arch or undernieth? I was thinking to take the inlet of but would rither not if i can get away with it.
