Default places to buy a car.

Hi all im after some help and advice.

Ive been searching for a while now for a e46 bmw 330/325 but have had no luck. I drove a 300 mile round trip to look at what seemed a nice example but turnt out to be a dog.

Its getting to the stage now were im getting impatient and pretty frustrated.

I have tried ebay, autotrader, gumtree and a bmw forum but cars all seem very far.

Am I being to picky or do I need to be patient.

I have around 3 k to spend. I dont mind if its coupe or saloon. Im not fussy on the colour. But would like service history and minimal rust etc. Ideally I would like a manual as I hear that auto can be costly to repair if thee dreaded happens.

Am I asking to much for the money. And also how often do autos go bang?

If anyone has any other ideas on places with cars for sale it would be much appreciated

Im in bedford but will travel

Thanks

Ive just sold a 52 plate 330 m sport convertible. Full history, leather. Factory sat NAV etc. for 2.5

They are about. Just got to keep looking. A trader bought mine. Said it was cheap

It depends on budget, if your looking at 55 plate cars for 3k then they will be rough

You get what you pay for with bmws, a lot of e46's nowadays are a bit rough, and don't be afraid of miles, I'd buy a nice 130k mile one over a rough 60k one......
