Default Scummy black stuff you get on lenses, removal?

Anybody have a genius way of removing this? Keep soaking mine to no joy, tried a toothbrush to get between the lense and body of the light but doesn't seem to work.

Just thinking it gets in there so surely you should be able to clean it out /

The other option if you haven't got a pressure washer is soak em in an all purpose cleaner then blow it out with an air line

is it a glass lense or a plastic lense?
if its glass then warm it up in an oven for 10 mins to make it soft and use a rag to remove as much as possible and then soak it in cellulose thinners
if its plastic then i dont know!

na mate, the scummy black stuff that seems to accumulate between the lense and the body of the light, suppose i could seperate them but just worried as it's a plastic lense not glass so might crack it.

Take them off and put them in the dishwasher on hot wash (when the missus isn't looking)
