Cool whats the best product to clean red HT leads with

as title, got a set of genuine HT leads for my golf vr6, there in red but have a bit of grease and dirt on them. so whats the best thing to use that wont harm the silicone as such?

didn't think about if it was bad for the silicone but a quick spray with brake cleaner and wipe with cloth and they were like new

Try petrol, but here's a tip; make sure the engine is running when you do it to get the leads nice and hot and use plenty of petrol

wd40, leave to soak, then lemon/citrus kitchen wipes or similar. Wd40 loosens a lot and the citrus element breaks down dirt well.

Cheapest option is baby wipes .. But I use G101 only cos I have loads of it .

I find swarfega handwipes or boss wipes from bss stores to work very well
