All depends what software is on the one you want to fit, which you wouldn't know until plugged into Ford IDS.

Anyone with Ford IDS should be able to code it.

Doesn't have to be a main dealer, some independents who do diagnostics on various cars may have an IDS set-up.

Thanks for the reply,
So someone with a decent snap on scanner might be able to code it for me if it needs it then?

I'm not aware of any other tools that can code modules other than Ford IDS as that's all I use.

(Other tools may be able to code the modules, but I have never used anything other than the proper Ford IDS tool)

New or used modules? , can-bus has nothing to do with the software on the module, it's just a means of inter-module-communication.

Sometimes the pump/motor wears out and sometimes its the module. The module just screw to the back of the pump/motor.

Or well I thought it might have something to do with it.

What fault has it got? If it's the common brake pressure sensor as per many MK60 ABS pumps, people like BBA reman and other ECU repairers can repair them.

http://www.bba-reman.com/index.aspx

http://www.ecutesting.com/ford_focus...s_pump_mo.html

This ABS Pump Module is a very common failure for the Ford Focus & C-Max vehicles built between 2004 - 2008. The fault causes the ESP light to illuminate permanently on the instrument cluster.

If you have been for a diagnostic check on your Ford then your mechanic will probably have told you that your have a fault with your “Brake Pressure sensor” or given you the full fault code of: “C1288 PRESSURE TRANSDUCER MAIN/PRIMARY CIRCUIT FAILURE” and will probably have told you that you must change your ABS Pump Module for a small fortune

The main dealer is currently charging over one thousand pounds plus fitting for a replacement ABS pump module.

When we rebuild your ABS pump we not only correct the problem but the materials and processes we use will reinforce your ABS pump module to prevent the fault from ever reoccurring.
