Default unlocking a nokia 6600???

im on vodafone and got some one interested in buying the phone but they are on orange, i just tried a orange sim card and it wants me to put in a lock code.

does this mean it need unlocking?

if so, can it only be done at a phone shop?

cheers

how much you want for it anyhow?

and most dodgy fone shops (or market stalls) will put it onto all networks for a fiver, but "official" shops wont do it.

you sure there not a crappy lil shop that sells s/h mobiles?

there is one here, dodgy geezer with a lil backstreet electrical shop, flogs various crap, inc some blatantly stolen fones, and does the unlock thing by plugging it into a laptop n doing soem shit, takes him 5mins if that.

and even if not here, every single sunday market i know of has at least one stall selling mobiles and will unlock em too.

i doubt a "proper" mobile shop will do it mate.
