Cheers buddy

oh and go for the buckets and flat bottom steering wheel and do it properly! you could argue an Avant would be doing it properly also but i wanted the faster version and as i was only 25 when i got it, it took some getting over having my first 5 door motor never mind an estate aswell :P

I had one come into to work and I nearly busted myself getting myself out from under a car to see what was making all that noise there fucking animals, but the owner did say he had just spent over 2k for a full 60k mile service, clutch and brakes, which ain't half bad for the car

Had a good thrash against one last week in my focus RS was quite shocked how close it was and even managed to make up a little through the bends, the rs4 owner can really peddle a motor

they are nice looking motors but wayyyy too much£££££ in every way imo

RS4's are lovely. That dark grey one above looks fantastic but that chavvy spaced number plate lets it down big style!

don't these never make the power they are meant to as standard and really suffer from carbon clogging up the valves?

+1

audi says 420 Hp but on the dyno they make "only" 360 - 400 Hp......

And after an amount of using the "modern" FSI-technologie cokes the valves so the power can fall to 320/350 Hp. You have to use valve cleaners and so on but audi makes more money with changing the engines.

Good oil like 0W-40 or 5W-50 and short change intervalls are a must against coking.
But they seem solid cars otherwise, like the cossies.

Im buying one on thursday this week all being well, test drove it last week. There a very nice quality car with lots of nice bits and pices to look at and keep you interested in it, they go fairly well i would say similar to an e39 m5 and a bit more than an e46 m3, very tourquey engine that love to rev hard and pull best at the top end, make a great noise.
From what ive read there pretty reliable, with main issues being the valves and inlet getting cabon build up, the drc suspension can fail and the inlet/airbox and exhaust flaps stop working. I guess there expensive to run in terms of parts prices but youve gotta expect that with any car at this level of performance.

Love the look of them just get a bit twitchy at the whole NA thing (being a turbo nut)

What's the price of the last S4 these days? Saw a good video with Chris Harris where he takes an S4 and RS4 to an air strip. The new S4 is supercharged, they just remap it there & it makes it as fast (actually tiny bit quicker) than the RS4.

Think I'd be all over the previous model RS4, the twin turbo one. They're my favourite looker too, a nice avant with low mileage would be sweet.

The current shape s4 now start about 20k. I want a face lift version but waiting until low mileage face lifts hit 25k mark and may get one, prob another year wait yet lol.

333bhp std and over 400bhp with remap! Monsters, and de tuned by Audi, just have not got rs4 looks

Front breaks weigh in at £1000.

The old man had one for 6 months. Only made 310bhp on the dyno. Had to have a top end rebuild at 40k, was remapped and had the inlet de flapped at mcr motor sport. Made 404 bhp then.

Averaged 12mpg aswell lol.

Lovely noise but pretty soulless to drive.
