Default Oil leak

Have quite a bad oil leak on my 3i

Its coming from where the box attaches to the engine.

Is it the crank seal?

Give it a really good clean mate and try and see exactly where it is comin from.
If not drain the oil and drop and re seal the sump . I would do this before ripping the box out and doing the crank seal.

It could be the crank shaft oil seal.Or less its leaking from the sump.Arnt these sump gaskets a nightmare to get right so they dont leak.

Rear seal? There is an oil seal at the rear of your engine near the transmission. I think that one is difficult and expensive. Do you see blue smoke coming from the underside of the car?
