Boosting problems

Check on SECS monitor the following...
1) The MAP readings are near zero (+/-0.5 psi) when the engine isnt running.
2) Check the coolant temperature reads 80-95 C when fully warmed up.
3) Check the throttle readings are 0 to 100% for the full travel of the pedal.
4) Check the battery voltage is above 12.7 volts when the engine is idling.
And a few questions ....
Does the car rev above 4000 rpm when warmed up ?
Does the car when it cuts out, cut out completely then recover or does it
surge (jerky feeling) ?

Yes im sure itdid rev past 4 k when the first cut out happend it was at about 4kIt wasent cutting every time but felt gutless When the car cuts revs drop off and its ok to cruise car doesent stall no kangaarooing well it might if i just left me foot down

Could possibly be a fuelling problem.
My advice is do not drive it hard until it is checked by a competant person.
Cossie engine rebuilds are not cheap.
Next time it happens watch the rev counter.
Does it still read correctly or does the reading drop like a stone when
the problem happens?
Its hard to diagnose problems like this over the internet !

Ah i missed the rest of these posts, very nice offer simon but the car was off the road the wiring for the fuel pump is a little fooked.Today is the day tho ryan is o route now to sort her out lol i hope
Today we will be gaping the phase senser checkin gap on crank position sortin fuel pump wiringtrying a new tps and a new ignition amp thingy.Wish us luck cos i think we willl need it lol

Right she is running again thank god, seems it was ither the map senser or the ignition amp.Car still runs shit tho throttle is very fluffy and revs are slow to pick up also she isnt boosting quite as she was.but when i fitted the phase senser i didnt gap it lol
and it wore away at the dizy metel bits that phase senser reads off all gaped now but dont seem right , stu said it would not effect it tho so im miffed
