Default boost problems?

hi there just before i start this is the first car ive bought (focus ST 2008) with a turbo ive previously had type r and golf R32. to be honest im not really sure if im having boost problems but when i plant my foot the middle gauge turbo boost only goes to 1/4 of the way up and stays there even though my foot is firmly planted then eventually pops up to half way as i said before this could be totally normal but im just making sure as ive just bought the car and want to make sure its ok before my 30 day warranty runs out thanks.

Normal. Standard boost curve is shite IMO. Its pretty load dependent, Ie, if your going up hill or you plant your foot in a higher gear you will probably find its boosts right up the 3/4 then settles at 1/2. Get it remapped or a Dream-science handset on it. Totally different beast altogether.

Yes seems normal. Ive had quite a few turbo cars and the ST doesn't boost like any of my other cars. I put a Dreamscience Stratagem on mine and drove mint after that.
