Default Juddering SMax

Hia all, can anybody throw light onto why my Ford SMax LX TDCI 1753 cc has started to judder from cold quite badly until warm.
From parked up overnight, keeping the car at let's say 1.500 revs the car will judder quite badly - let's say like a new driver with bad clutch control.
Is something about to breakdown or give up as this wasn't like this up to now.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Sam
