Off to look at a 56 plate Transit today, things to look out for?
I'm off to look at this van today:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRANSIT-CU...item4ac7c1199d
Planning to buy it for work, to replace a similar curtainsider 2000 reg Transit we have that is slowly dieing!
Anyone got any obvious or not so obvious Transit buying hints and tips?
I'll be checking the paperwork and plates carefully, and cosmetic checks are simple enough I guess.
Anyone get proper HPi checks at a sensible price? PM me with a phone no and I'll give you a bell when I'm with it
Any advice mucho appreciated

Well, landed up buying it Drives very nicely, our old van was a 90 bhp version of the above pic, with no roof spoiler. Would get to 55-60 mph and hit a wall. This one cruised at 75mph no problems, the 140 engine deffo works nicely.
It's cosmetically mint, but cab had been resprayed and the chassis and under bonnet clips and bolts etc were all corroded. No great drama, just it's not so good underneath as on top.
HPI clear, loads of paperwork and no problems that would need us to do anything with meant it was time to load up and drive it home - only problem was I went there in my 205 GTi, and had travelled alone, intending to leave a deposit and return another day. No problem they said, and out came a fork lift truck:
Thank you everyone for the advice

It's a secret
Busted!
Yep it will be shortly, just needs a damn good polishing, destickering and cleaning and I'll be listing it on here and eBay
Basically, I drove a my truck full of pheasant feed to a farm in Gloucester from my base in Somerset. On top of the pheasant feed sat my Pug:
Drove to the farm, off loaded the Pug and the feed, then ragged the Pug up the M5 and M42 to Warwickshire. Bought the van, seller loaded the Pug onto the van, and I drove the van back to Gloucester to where I'd left my truck earlier on farm.
Customer then used his loader to lift my Pug off the van, onto the truck, and then I drove home. Van is still on farm in Gloucester
Check where the Pug's Centre of gravity is! Well off to the front end.
