Right me and a buddy have been having a bit of an argument about logbooks. I have an rs turbo estate (it says rs turbo estate on the logbook) now he seems to think if you pay you can have this put on the log book but im sure you cant change the "spec" ill say, of the car. Any1 no for sure or got proof? Thanks

have you and your mate got never better to discuss
, no matter what it says on your logbook it will never be a real RS lets face it even if the car is top drawer, dvla sometimes add things when alterations are made to a vehicle the best bet is simply ring or email dvla and they dont bite

An engine change and bodykit doesnt change the vehicle description or identity. Make sure theyve got the engine capacity correct though.
When my puma was done with a new shell, they wouldnt add "4x4" or "cosworth" to the logbook as its still identity wise a "ford puma"
However had it been built with a custom bodyshell - eg a spaceframe like AG's focus, then you can name it what you want as its not the same vehicle. You wont be able to call it a "ford" though as ford is no longer the manufacturer, you are. And also some of the admin guys wont let you put "cosworth" or "puma" etc anywhere as they are trademarked names - although that is hit and miss.
