I know its not a Ford but thinking of getting one as a nice sensible daily instead of using the saff all the time, seen a couple of nice 54 plate 1.6 fsi, anyone had much experience with one of these?

i have a 2005 54 a3 2.0tdi fully loaded sportback version i would be considering selling and will be priced reasonable
awesome car belts been done and just serviced,
packed with options reverse sensors climate cruise etc etc
it now has the standard 16s back on but could do a deal with the 19s

I've had 2, both the newer 8p shape. All I'd say if you can, get the tdi. Either 1.9 or 2.0, the 1.9 is the slower 105bhp model in these but it's epic on fuel (55mpg in mixed driving) and being the older vag diesel, it's really easy to get parts for them, and don't be out off by the 105bhp, it's a lot better than the 1.6!

My other was a 2.0 140, and was smoother and quicker, and still hit 46mpg every day, but weirdly I preferred the 1.9
