Yea well £40 for a known good engine, £80 for a set of Audi 1.8t pistons and £300 on steel rods and arp bolts with maching work included so not a bad price , should give me a 8.8:1 cr iirc
Yea I thought it was the s2 LSD thanks for clearing that up
I won't be changing to an MTX box . Too much money for a gearbox set up, I agree once they're in and sorted they are good n strong but not justifiable IMO at this moment in time. I will see how the Ib5 set up fairs first
I'm not doing this build on any particular budget as I know for one you'll never budget enough LOL but I will spend good money on the good parts I think are needed, such as management, internals, turbo etc and everything will be rigorously checked over and rebuilt before hand including the gearbox
Inlet manifould. What's needed to fit the blacktop inlet? Seems to be just all the original arrangement bolted on with a different cable possibly? I don't want to use the HO inlet as good as they are I want to be able to shut my bonnet lol so will look into the blacktop manifould and if not stick with the cvh efi one
Either way I do this I can use the Astra vxr Injectors in both I think ?
Il be happy with anything between 260-300bhp to be honest if I don't make 300 I wil over time up it to there possibly but I don't want to go any further than 300bhp
