Default car cut out AGAIN!!! HELP

just on my way home from work and car cut out completley,
alarm still turn on/off, lights work, but no ignition at all,
no lights on dash or ought,
any ideas please,
got it booked in at MSD for wednesday and need to do 600 mile before then
EDITED, 01.09 IN THE MORNING,
JUST HAPPENED AGAIN, EXCEPT THIS TIME CANT FIX IT,
GOT SHIT UP IN ME BEST CLOTHES

no its not, just been on phone to an auto elecy and he said
to check a wiring block under steering column where wire will have burnt out.
any one heard of this

there fine, i spent 30 mins at side of road checking everything,
fuses, connections, going to go look at that wire block

if its same as series 2 under that stearin coloum then there should b 2 plugs... n yup when they unplugged u get nuthin on ya dash... have a root mr.

awsome sounded like 1 of them had come away slightly..

Westy they are on Series 2 aswell... 1 of them is the plug for the ignition barrel and the other i cant remember of top of me head...

they were tempting me last night.
well chuffed she sorted, thought for a minute i were not going to make it for
wenesday, only 550 miles to go, its hard taking it so easy.

Id be solder and sheat shrink personally. I hate them Bullet connectors.

My plug went the other week! When I got my alarm fitted the guy just chopped the plug off and joined the wire together! Starts a dream

Happened to mine.

I cut them out and soldered them together before I restored the car. While it was in bits, I cut the wires and fitted a new plug.

shes sorted, alive again
it was the immobiliser block connector to the ignition,
cut and soldered together,

good news!! tis hard doing them break in miles I managed to do 1000 miles but the last few were used up when taking it to MSD, it's hard watching kenny rip off in ye car that you just spent weeks driving round like a snail
